Paul M. Simic, M.D. was born and raised in the San Fernando Valley. While playing varsity football at Cornell University in Ithaca, New York, he earned an undergraduate degree in Mechanical Engineering. Subsequently, he performed post-baccalaureate work at Stanford University, and then attended Cornell University Medical College.
 


Dr. Simic completed his residency training in Orthopedic Surgery at The Hospital for Special Surgery in New York. For subspecialty training in Hand and Upper Extremity Surgery, including additional training in Shoulder and Elbow Surgery, he spent one year as a fellow at Washington University in St. Louis, Missouri. He joined the Southern California Orthopedic Institute after completing his training.

Dr. Simic has been involved in both clinical and basic science research. He has authored scientific articles on wrist and elbow fractures, and has written a textbook chapter on techniques for the surgical treatment of wrist fractures. He is eligible for Board Certification by the American Board for Orthopedic Surgery and for a Certificate of Added Qualification in Surgery of the Hand. He is a member of the American Society for Surgery of the Hand, the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgery, and the Arthroscopy Association of North America.

He and his wife Amanda, enjoy skiing, fishing, golf, and travel.

Paul M. Simic, M.D. is available to see patients in the Van Nuys, Thousand Oaks, and Simi Valley offices.
