"This was a great doctor.
He took the case that was started by another surgeon.
After removing pins from the elbow, and releasing the requirement for ongoing casting or splints, complete healing occurred without the need for physical therapy.
The doctor's assistant, Amy, was responsive, attentive, and able to arrange appointments around very busy schedules.
We had a great experience." – Joshua K.
"I have had 6 different surgeries with the above checked Doctors and have had a great experience with all of them. In addition, the PA's, Dr. Assistants, and schedulers have also been wonderful. I recommend SCOI to all of my friends that are contemplating an Orthopedic Surgery." - Inez F.
"Dr. Auerbach and his staff were extremely friendly and caring during my brief visit to the SCOI. The nursing staff checked on me often to ensure my comfort, as well as my health. Whenever I needed something, the staff was quick to respond. The hospitality at SCOI truly left me with a feeling of professionalism and courtesy unmatched by any other in the health field." -- Parvis Z.
"I received numerous orthopedic injuries as a police k9 handler. Dr. Auerbach treated both arms and hands for nerve issues and torn ligaments in one hand. The experience with Dr. Auerbach and his great staff has been very pleasant. Amy and Dale were very helpful on several occasions. I received great customer service." -- Scott F.
"I broke my humorus at work on March 3, 2013. Because it was a workers comp case, I was not able to choose the doctor. I had a bad experience with the first doctor they assigned to me. But here at SCOI, I feel as though I have won the lottery. The care I have received here had been first rate. I appreciate the professionalism and kindness of all the people at SCOI." -- Venda K.
"I had shoulder surgery (rotator cuffon August 29, 2012. My experience was very positive with the doctor and the staff at the surgical center. They were all very friendly and put me at ease. I had prepared myself mentally for a long recovery however I have not experienced that. I am doing extremely well with my physical therapy and movement with my arm. It has been difficult not lifting heavy objects with my arm, but other than that I am doing great. I have started back to the gym this week doing Zumba (taking it easy on my arm) and feeling almost 'back to normal'. I will recommend Dr. Auerbach to anyone needing this type of surgery - my experience was successful!" -- Ellen M.
"I saw Dr. Auerbach recently for the first time, for problems with my shoulder, elbow, a trigger finger problem, and inflammation near my thumb. I found him to be a rare gem of a doctor. He is wonderfully caring, gentle, kind, exceptionally knowledgeable, and professional. He made me feel like he really honestly cared about the wellbeing and health of his patients. He did not rush through my office visit, like how other typical doctors rush through office visits, and he was very calm and centered, letting me ask questions. He answered those questions with great patience and clarity. I like to be involved in my own health treatments and options, and he was wonderful and explained to me my options for treatment, which were either steroid injections or wraps to wear on my elbow and hand/thumb area. I chose to go with the wraps and they have helped me tremendously. I had an entirely wonderful experience with him as my doctor. I trust him fully and would definitely go to him again, if I have any return of symptoms. I entirely recommend him to anyone who wants a doctor who they can trust fully and who really, truly cares for his patients." -- Ursula
"To my relief, Dr. Auerbach was attentive, knowledgeable, and informative. His manner was pleasant, and generous, relative to the surgical skills formally performed by a surgeon unrelated to the Southern California Orthopedic Institute. The staff was equally pleasant and efficient. I would not hesitate to recommend Dr. Auerbach to friends and family, should they need his services and skills." -- JC E.
"I had a great experience at SCOI. Dr. Auerbach made me feel very comfortable with the procedure and his staff was very professional. I would definitely recommend SCOI to friends and family." -- Hilary M.
"I had a lump on my wrist, which turned out to be a ganglion, for over 10 years because an orthopedic surgeon had told me that it was in a very dangerous spot. Eventually, I lost strength in that hand and could not really use it anymore. I came to see Dr. Auerbach and he told me that it was treatable. Unfortunately for me, six years later, I ended up with a lump on my other wrist that limited my range of motion. So I came back to see Dr. Auerbach. I had a very quick recovery in both cases and very little scaring in the treated area. What a great experience." -- John S.
