Dr. Connor Delman is a fellowship-trained orthopedic sports medicine surgeon specializing in open, arthroscopic, and reconstructive surgery of the shoulder, hip, and knee. He completed his fellowship in orthopedic sports medicine with our surgeons at the Southern California Orthopedic Institute and then joined our team in 2024.
Born and raised in Los Angeles, Dr. Delman attended the University of California, Los Angeles, where he graduated summa cum laude and was inducted into the Phi Beta Kappa Honor Society. He earned his medical degree and completed his orthopedic surgery residency at the University of California Davis School of Medicine. While there, he was selected as the administrative chief resident by his peers and faculty. During his residency, he was awarded the Senior Resident Research Award for the best research project and the Orthopedic Clinic Trauma Award for exceptional performance in patient care, resident education, clinical care coordination, and team leadership.
During his training, Dr. Delman dedicated an additional year as a research fellow, publishing extensively in both basic science and clinical research. His efforts were recognized with multiple grants and awards. He has presented his research on national platforms, delivered instructional course lectures, and authored multiple surgical technique papers including a book chapter on ACL reconstruction in Surgical Techniques of the Shoulder, Elbow, and Knee in Sports Medicine. He is an invited reviewer for the American Journal of Sports Medicine and was selected to the Abstract Panel Reviewer Team for the American Orthopaedic Society for Sports Medicine (AOSSM) Annual Meeting and Specialty Day. Dr. Delman remains actively engaged in orthopedic sports medicine research, surgical innovation, and the improvement of surgical techniques.
Dr. Delman completed his fellowship in sports medicine, arthroscopy, and reconstructive surgery at the prestigious Southern California Orthopedic Institute. As a fellow, he trained with renowned experts, mastering advanced techniques for treating sports-related injuries of the shoulder, elbow, hip, knee, foot, and ankle. He continued his passion for research during his fellowship, where he focused on assessing outcomes in cartilage repair and rotator cuff surgery. Additionally, he gained extensive experience treating high school, college, and professional athletes. Following his fellowship, he was honored to join Southern California Orthopedic Institute, continuing their rich tradition of providing expert care to patients with complex injuries and training future generations of sports medicine surgeons.
Dr. Delman’s philosophy of care is centered on providing the highest-quality treatment to every patient by utilizing best clinical practices and advanced surgical techniques. He believes in a patient-centered approach, tailoring treatment to patients based on their specific injury, expectations, and goals. He prioritizes educating his patients about their injuries and guiding them through the rehabilitation process. Outside of orthopedic surgery, Dr. Delman enjoys spending time with family and friends. He is an avid golfer and outdoor enthusiast with a passion for surfing, basketball, hiking, and traveling.
Dr. Delman is a member of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons (AAOS), Arthroscopy Association of North America (AANA), International Cartilage Regeneration & Joint Preservation Society (ICRS), International Society of Arthroscopy, Knee Surgery and Orthopaedic Sports Medicine (ISAKOS), and the American Orthopaedic Society for Sports Medicine (AOSSM).
