Dr. George Wahba is a board-certified and fellowship-trained orthopedic spine surgeon offering comprehensive care to patients in Bakersfield. He has expertise in treating a wide range of conditions affecting the cervical, thoracic, and lumbar spine. Dr. Wahba takes a conservative approach to spine surgery and believes surgery should only be considered once all conservative options are exhausted. Using his extensive knowledge of minimally invasive spine surgery, Dr. Wahba aims to reduce pain after surgery and help patients recover faster.

Dr. Wahba completed his undergraduate education and received a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of California, Los Angeles. Following that, he earned his Doctor of Medicine from the University of California, San Francisco. Dr. Wahba then completed his residency training at the University of California, Irvine. After residency training, he underwent a spine surgery fellowship at Harvard Medical School – Massachusetts General Hospital and Brigham and Women's Hospital in Boston.

Dr. Wahba has nearly 15 years of spine surgery experience providing the most advanced and highest-quality spine care to Bakersfield and surrounding communities. He is dedicated to patient-centered care by focusing treatment to each patient’s individual needs and to utilizing minimally invasive surgical options when possible.

Earning significant recognition, Dr. Wahba has numerous publications and has given presentations at national meetings. He is a Diplomate of the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgery, a Fellow of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons, and a member of the North American Spine Society.

Outside of his practice, Dr. Wahba enjoys sports, traveling, and spending time with his wife and two children.
