“I recently hurt my knee at work. No big deal. I thought I would just go through the motions and get back on my feet. After some questionable care at the treating facility, I fought with the insurance carrier and had my case transferred to Southern California Orthopedic Institute. I soon found out my knee was worse than I thought. Dr. Burns recommended surgery based on a torn meniscus, along with a bone fracture, and a couple of other painful problems. These problems made it difficult at best to walk and move around. After undergoing arthroscopic surgery with Dr. Burns, I was up and walking within 2 days. By the 4th day, I got rid of the crutches and cane and was walking unassisted. It has now been a little over 2 weeks since the surgery and I now can do things with my grandkids again. I even took them to Disneyland and was able to walk the entire park with only minor discomfort. Thanks to Dr. Burns and the staff at Southern California Orthopedic Institute, I am well on my way to a full recovery! -- Thomas G.”
