As a fellowship-trained spine surgeon, Dr. Zachary Sharfman uses his specialty training and experience to provide care for a wide range of injuries and conditions that affect different parts of the spine.
Dr. Sharfman began his education by earning his Bachelor of Science degree in biochemistry and molecular biology from the University of California San Diego. He went on to complete a Master of Science degree in human nutrition at Columbia University before attending Sackler School of Medicine to finish his Doctor of Medicine degree. Dr. Sharfman then went through his residency training at Montefiore Medical Center. Lastly, he added to his extensive training by completing a spine surgery fellowship at the University of California San Francisco. Dr. Sharfman is a member of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons. AO Spine, and the North American Spine Society.
Using his extensive training, Dr. Sharfman ensures his patients will receive the highest quality of care for spine injuries and conditions. His goal is to provide care to help restore function, comfort, and health to patients through thoughtful, individualized, and minimally invasive care.
Outside of his practice, Dr. Sharfman enjoys spending time outdoors camping, hiking, and surfing.
