Photo: Scott Laurente, PT, OCS, ASTYM

Scott was born in Redwood City, California, and attended Fresno State University. Scott chose to pursue a career in physical therapy because of his love for sports and his interest in injury rehabilitation.

Scott has been a practicing physical therapist for thirty-two years in Santa Barbara and Bakersfield and has been with Southern California Orthopedic Institute for the last eleven years. Scott's previous experience includes working as a sports and orthopedic clinician and clinical manager. Previously, Scott worked in a private practice clinic which afforded him the opportunity to meet and treat many Southern California Orthopedic Institute patients as well as become acquainted with many Southern California Orthopedic Institute doctors. Due to his relationships with the doctors and the excellent reputation of the organization, Scott joined Southern California Orthopedic Institute when the Bakersfield location first opened.

Scott and his wife Lisa have three grown children, whom they love to visit and spend time with. In his spare time, he enjoys riding his bike, exercising, reading, and travelling with his wife. On the weekend, you can find Scott at his local church or doing a DIY project at home.

Scott is available to see patients at the Center for Rehabilitation – Bakersfield office.
