Regenerative Medicine: Regenexx
Many treatments in the world of orthopedics involve removing or replacing damaged or injured tissue. We might “trim out” cartilage tears or perhaps “reconstruct” ACL tears by using other tissue, or we may even “replace” joints with artificial parts. However, in the world of Regenerative Medicine we try to augment the body’s own natural healing abilities to truly repair and heal the damaged tissue itself. We aim to actually cure the problem instead of just trying to come up with a second best solution. To learn more about how we do this, visit our Regenexx information page and our Platelet Rich Plasma (PRP) page.
There are many different Regenerative Medicine and biologic techniques available today. Many of these have been poorly studied and yield equivocal results. We believe that the Regenexx family of procedures including Platelet Rich Plasma and Stem Cell treatments have been the most well-studied and have produced the most robust results. For years thousands of patients have traveled from all over the world to receive these treatments at the Regenexx headquarters in Colorado. We are now proud to offer these very same Regenexx procedures to our patients.
If you would like to schedule a consultation for one of these procedures please call our Regenexx line for Dr. Blecher in the Los Angeles area or for an appointment with Dr. Spelts in the Thousand Oaks area, please call: (818) 909-5009.
