Esther received her Master of Physician Assistant Practice degree from the Keck School of Medicine of the University of Southern California. During her graduate studies at USC, she was elected to the Pi Alpha National Honor Society for Physician Assistants and the Honor Society of Phi Kappa Phi. She received her Bachelor of Science degree in general biology from Revelle College at the University of California, San Diego.
Esther provides the services of surgical physician assistant to Dr. Babak Barcohana. As his PA, she has roles in both the operating room and in clinic. In the operating room, she is Dr. Barcohana’s surgical first assistant. In clinic, she works alongside Dr. Barcohana to treat orthopedic spine disorders by taking patient histories, performing physical exams, ordering and interpreting diagnostic tests, making diagnoses, formulating treatment plans, and writing prescriptions. Esther also provides surgical patients with preoperative and postoperative care.
Esther is a Southern California native. In her free time, she enjoys running, yoga, skiing, exploring new restaurants, and traveling. She is fluent in Spanish and Korean.
Esther is available to see patients in the Van Nuys and Valencia offices.
