The Center for Orthopedic Surgery (COSI)
The Center for Orthopedic Surgery (COSI) at SCOI is a state-of-the-art surgical facility developed and operated by the physicians of Southern California Orthopedic Institute.
Located within Southern California Orthopedic Institute in Van Nuys, California, COSI is designed to facilitate the treatment of patients with musculoskeletal injuries and disorders.
COSI, a fully licensed and AAAHC-accredited ambulatory surgery center, has pioneered the development of arthroscopic surgical procedures, particularly in the shoulder, wrist, and ankle. Additionally, the entire spectrum of outpatient orthopedic surgical procedures are performed, including elbow, hand, knee, foot, and ankle surgery.
The entire staff undergoes a lengthy training process and must meet rigorous competency demands. The surgical staff attend multiple educational seminars each year to remain current in our demanding field.
All of the anesthesia staff are board-certified and participate in quarterly peer reviews to assure that patients receive quality care.
Our goal is to help the patient return to his or her maximum level of activity. Patients are asked to complete a questionnaire that evaluates their experience at COSI. This information helps us identify how patient care can be improved.
COSI is a multi-specialty center serving the community of the San Fernando Valley, Los Angeles, Santa Clarita Valley, Simi Valley, and Ventura areas. We accept most major insurance plans and are open from 6:00 am to 5:00 pm daily, offering extended patient care hours as needed.
