Jason Baran joined the Southern California Orthopedic Institute team in 2023 with over 20 years of work experience and continuing education in the field of physical therapy. He specializes in outpatient orthopedics and sport-specific rehabilitation. His work history includes managing multisite PT corporations and rehabilitating professional athletes from the LA Dodgers, LA Lakers, the NFL, and the UFC. Other areas of his clinical expertise include specialized running and gait analysis, neck and back pain treatment, total knee and hip replacement, cervicogenic headaches, thoracic outlet syndrome, and balance dysfunction. Jason provides comprehensive and experienced physical therapy services for patients of all ages and conditions.

Jason emphasizes an eclectic approach to physical therapy and utilizes a multitude of treatment methods to achieve results. He is an ART (Active Release Techniques) Certified Provider and has postgraduate training from the Spinal Manipulation Institute. ART is a specialized soft tissue technique that demonstrates exceptional treatment results. He uses manual therapy techniques including joint mobilization, therapeutic exercise and myofascial release and provides functional sport-specific rehabilitation and personal training.

Jason enjoys weight training and conditioning, running, football, and MMA training among other sports.

Jason is available to see patients at the Center for Rehabilitation Medicine – Van Nuys office.
