New Orleans Pelicans forward Zion Williamson was cleared on Nov. 11, 2021, by Dr. Richard Ferkel, fellowship-trained foot and ankle surgeon at Southern California Orthopedic Institute, and Dr. Scott Montgomery, who serves as the Pelicans' team orthopedic surgeon, to participate in contact drills, the team announced, the latest step toward his eventual return to the court.
