Richard Ferkel, MD Leads World's Largest International Consensus Meeting on Cartilage Repair of the Ankle

With European Society for Sports Traumatology, Knee Surgery and Arthroscopy (ESSKA) scientific support, the International Society for Cartilage Repair of the Ankle (ISCRA) organized the International Consensus Meeting on Cartilage Repair of the Ankle on November 17 - 18, 2017, in Pittsburgh, PA. This event was the world’s biggest for the topic, further enrolling the support of the International Society of Arthroscopy, Knee Surgery and Orthopaedic Sports Medicine (ISAKOS), the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center (UPMC) and Pitt’s Department of Orthopaedic Surgery.

Our very own Dr. Richard Ferkel started this ISCRA project along with Dr. John Kennedy (AFAS board member) and Dr. James Stone where high-level specialists from six continents and 25 countries with a minimum of one PubMed publication connected to the topic participated.
